Our Services
We provide a comfortable home setting!
We attend each resident's needs individually and as a family!
Senior Home Healthcare Services!
We have a high success rate in assisting our residents in finding permanent housing!
We originally, considered a Sober Independent Community. We are still basically just that.
Let me expound on this.
Many of us have worked our whole lives and retired. Now we collect our SSDA and/or SSI, in the process of time many of us have become disabled. Our families don't want to be bothered so they ship us to nursing homes. Nursing Homes are rather insensitive and they all take your entire income and give you thirty ($30) a month.
We worked for it they take it.
Then there are those of us that only get SSI. SSI is for the disabled that have worked but was diagnosed disabled before they earned enough points to get SSDA, then last but not least are those that were born disabled at birth, or became disabled prior to working, so they only receive seven hundred and ten ($914) a month, SSDA $1100 to several thousand dollars a month. Yet the nursing homes give them (SSDA and SSI RECIPIENTS) only thirty ($40) dollars a month and keep the rest.
We are the answer to that dilemma We charge $625 ( 2 people only) a month for a shared room, $550 monthly for an independent room. Each resident put up $150 a month toward food. Yes it is a structured environment. Our facility is clean. Here the residents that can do the cleaning as a group. Those that can't do only what they can. We collectively help the and assists the ones that need it.
Thus we have a happy clean well fed warm family like environment.
Thus our SSDA residents get to use and enjoy their lifetime earnings and the SSI residents get to enjoy some of the amenities of life they otherwise would not.
We provide a TV (unless they have their own)in each room and we provide internet access and computers for the residents use, all at no cost to them.
We are not funded by The Gov. nor any private organization, we are self sustaining. We welcome any and all feedback and/or any promotional assistance.
Thank you.

Who I am, is not defined by a man. Yet, I, too, need companionship and love! I need a loving caring family!
When I first came to FFO, I was homeless, alone and, oh Lord, so confused (I will tell u about it ). I have some mental issues I have to deal with daily. I grew up in an abusive foster home. I was abused in such a way, I thought an abusive relationship with a man was the only way. I thought I had to give a man anything just to please him (money, etc...) and the negative behavior meant love the way I grew up. OK, now, I did tell you I was confused. I was extremely depressed. But, with the the companionship of the FFO team, I felt I had a family that understood me. With their true concern, caring, support and guidance, I soon began to feel at home. I really want to thank the case management team from Sisters Nurturing Sisters, for the patience and guidance that was provided me - when I say patience, trust me, I was a real hand full. I don't know if I'll ever be able to live by myself, but they make me feel as if I can. Maybe I will some day. For right now, I have a family that cares and stands by me, even when I don't. They said they'll be there when I need them, and they were and still are. They keep telling me that one day I'll have my own place. They told me I'd soon be able to travel on public transportation and now I can; back then I could not due to medical reasons. They helped me get my head together and now I know who I am. I am not the one the men wanted me to be. I now buy clothes and other stuff for myself. Hey, and guess what, it feels very Good! I even have an appetite and enjoy it. I've even gained weight. There is so much more I want to say, but this is it for now. OK? Remember, if you're in transit, in a bad spot, and need genuine loving help, then FFO is the way to go!
I am Erica Cook and I am happy!

I am David Dieter
I had some serious issues and bad personal habits and
attitudes when I first arrived at this facility.
But I am happy to say that I have adjusted my bad attitudes
and amended most of my bad habits.
I have not used now in over six months and counting. I have
grown up quite a bit since my arrival and stay at FFO.
I'd like to thank the staff at FFO for being so patient and caring
attitudes when I first arrived at this facility.
